About the Role

Take on a key leadership position overseeing shipping operations critical to delivering life-saving medical devices globally. This role is based in Wilmington, Ohio, where the team manufactures essential equipment for emergency and public-safety professionals worldwide. The Logistics Supervisor will own the shipping floor operations, establish seamless coordination with planning teams, and ensure compliant, accurate, and timely delivery to international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of around 10 shipping and documentation staff, fostering a workplace culture of accountability, safety, and high morale.
  • Act as the go-to expert on international trade compliance, handling import/export documentation, HTS classification, tariffs, and country-of-origin regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to optimize shipment routing and promptly address any clearance issues.
  • Work closely with planning, customer service, and manufacturing departments to synchronize shipping schedules with product availability and customer demands.
  • Enhance shipping processes continuously by implementing visual management tools, monitoring key performance indicators, and overseeing inbound and outbound freight expenses.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least 5 years of direct experience managing customs compliance and international logistics, including import/export documentation.
  • Established leadership background supervising and developing shipping or logistics teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HTS codes, tariff classifications, Incoterms, and rules regarding country of origin.
  • Successful history of coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders to manage various freight modes such as LTL, container, and air shipments.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems or global trade management tools for compliance tracking and auditing.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments, preferably those regulated by the FDA or similar agencies, is strongly favored.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 annually.
  • Target annual bonus incentive of 15% of base salary.
  • Unlimited paid time off provided for salaried leadership team members.
