Job description
Role Overview
The Property Officer (Township) will collaborate closely with the Property Manager to deliver outstanding support for estate residents through daily inspections. The focus is to uphold high standards for horticulture, maintenance, and implement necessary improvements across the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee contractor work to ensure all repair and routine maintenance tasks adhere strictly to contract conditions and quality expectations.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise breakdown, preventive, and corrective maintenance operations efficiently.
- Conduct frequent inspections and enforce compliance in common property areas to keep them in good condition as required by relevant authorities; recommend necessary maintenance actions.
- Handle tenant and resident feedback and manage arrears cases effectively.
- Verify job completions by contractors and provide approval for payment recommendations.
- Coordinate consultancy services related to maintenance with professional consultants and secure all required permits and certificates from authorities.
- Investigate breakdowns and faults to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or NITEC certification in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Preferably at least 1 year of relevant work experience, though fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- People-focused and eager to learn new skills.
- Capable of handling pressure, including working extended hours, weekends, and public holidays when necessary.
Additional Information
- Employment is based on a renewable 2-year contract with benefits.
- Work location is in the Northwest region.
- Work schedule is 5 days per week with mandatory work on the first Saturday of each month.
