Job description

Role Overview

The Royal British Legion is looking for a Project Support Officer to join their Change and Transformation team. The team manages a broad range of strategic projects and plays an essential role in delivering organizational change. This permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute by supporting Project Managers in managing project priorities, coordinating schedules, and ensuring outcomes are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain project plans, standards, and controls throughout the project lifecycle to support successful end-to-end delivery.
  • Assist Senior and Project Managers with tracking budgets, resource allocation, and promptly identifying and reporting risks, issues, and deviations.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation and reports such as status updates and governance packs, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and aligned with project needs.
  • Organize and administer project meetings and boards, including scheduling, preparing paperwork, recording notes, tracking actions, and maintaining records.
  • Develop and nurture effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing communications, supporting content creation, and acting as a reliable contact for project procedures and reporting requirements.

Additional Information

The role requires regular travel, including to London (Haig House). The employee will be home-based when not travelling.
