Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is shared on behalf of a partner organization that handles the hiring process and all subsequent steps. The employer is seeking a Project Coordinator in the United States to help manage complex, purpose-driven initiatives in a structured, team-oriented setting.

The work centers on keeping projects moving smoothly across scientific and public health programs. You will support planning, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication so that tasks, timelines, and deliverables remain clearly organized and on track. The role also includes helping strengthen project management practices by creating or improving templates, tools, and reporting resources. It is a detail-heavy, fast-moving environment where balancing priorities, documenting decisions, and following through on action items are essential. This position offers the chance to contribute to impactful initiatives that advance research and public health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Support project and program operations by organizing meetings, timelines, and deliverables and keeping progress records up to date.
  • Draft meeting agendas, take thorough notes, and record decisions and action items for follow-up.
  • Monitor risks, issues, and mitigation steps, and raise concerns to the appropriate stakeholders when needed.
  • Help create and maintain project charters, schedules, plans, and other supporting documents.
  • Coordinate discussions and collaboration across teams and workstreams.
  • Maintain shared document systems and assist with knowledge sharing and information distribution.
  • Contribute to reporting, financial tracking, and preparation of materials for leadership and stakeholder updates.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as business, public health, science, or project management is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, program support, or project management.
  • Prior experience in a federal, healthcare, biomedical, or research setting is strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of project management concepts, tools, and coordination methods.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially for documenting complex information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as collaboration tools.
  • Comfort working with cross-functional teams and distributed stakeholders.
  • Experience maintaining project records, templates, and governance materials is highly desirable.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $81,349 to $92,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
  • Fully remote arrangement within the United States, with occasional in-person meetings when required.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage options.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible leave arrangements.
  • Paid parental leave and additional family-support programs.
  • Training and certification opportunities for professional growth.
  • Flexible working conditions with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
