Role overview

This 12-month contract opportunity is for a Production Planner in Singapore’s North region. The role sits within a busy manufacturing setting and focuses on planning engineering builds, aligning production schedules, and ensuring build activities move forward on time across multiple teams.

Working arrangement

  • Location: North Singapore
  • Contract length: 12 months
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:15 PM
  • Interview process: 1 round

What you will do

  • Build and maintain schedules for engineering production runs across manufacturing locations.
  • Raise and issue production orders through ERP/MRP tools, with SAP as the preferred system.
  • Assess engineering build plans, bills of materials, routings, and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Work with Operations, NPI, Planning, and Production Control to confirm available production capacity.
  • Monitor work-in-progress, execution status, and overall build advancement.
  • Identify and work through material shortages, routing problems, and capacity bottlenecks.
  • Escalate risks that could delay build timelines or affect product quality.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or another relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience using ERP/MRP platforms, ideally SAP.
  • Good working knowledge of production orders, BOMs, routings, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Prior exposure to engineering build support will be considered an advantage.

Additional information

This is a manufacturing planning role focused on high-volume production support. Candidates should be comfortable coordinating across engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and production control functions to keep schedules on track.
