Role overview
Disney Entertainment Television is looking for a Production Analyst to support production accounting and studio finance operations across its portfolio of creative brands and studios, including 20th Television, FX, Disney Branded Television, National Geographic, 20th Television Animation, and Disney Television Animation.
The role is centered on managing a centralized vendor system, assisting with audit-related research, and handling payroll plus 1099 processing tasks. It also plays a key part in supporting internal partners quickly and accurately while continuously identifying ways to streamline workflows and improve processes.
The position offers the chance to build strong knowledge of DET, television production, and studio finance. Success in this role calls for sharp analytical ability, clear communication, strong time management, and careful attention to detail.
The right candidate will be well organized, flexible, comfortable balancing several priorities, and able to thrive in a fast-moving environment. A collaborative style, openness to change, and consistent follow-through are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the centralized vendor database by reviewing, checking, and processing new vendor setup requests as well as updates sent in by production accounting teams.
- Assist with audit requests, including guild and participation audits, by collecting, organizing, and delivering the required documents and information on schedule.
- Run weekly payroll for a small group of workers connected to development deals and stock footage librarians, and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Work with production accounting teams each year to verify compensation details before sending the data to entertainment payroll providers, Entertainment Partners and Cast & Crew, for 1099 processing.
- Investigate and respond to time-sensitive ad hoc requests that require collecting and analyzing data for urgent business needs.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Working knowledge of production accounting processes and procedures.
- Exposure to Entertainment Partners and Cast & Crew systems, along with SAP.
- Ability to stay accurate, meet deadlines, and handle responsibilities efficiently.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships.
- A mindset focused on improving processes and workflows.
Compensation and benefits
The hiring range in California is $79,100 to $96,500 per year. The actual base salary may differ based on internal equity, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the role level, a bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included, along with the company’s full benefits package such as medical and financial benefits.
