Job description

About Roku

Roku is a leading TV streaming platform that aims to connect the full television ecosystem. The company helps viewers discover content, gives publishers tools to reach and monetize audiences, and offers advertisers ways to engage consumers through streaming TV. Roku is a fast-growing public company where individual contributors are expected to make a real impact from day one.

About the Team

The Ad Product Strategy & Operations team is a mix of strategy and execution within Roku’s Ad Product organization. It works with product managers and cross-functional partners to speed up decisions, prepare launches, and turn product strategy into operational reality across Roku’s advertising offerings. The team operates at the intersection of product creation and business enablement, with a focus on alignment, scalability, and launch readiness.

Role Summary

Roku is hiring a Product Strategy & Operations Lead with experience in performance advertising to shape product direction through market research, competitive analysis, and go-to-market execution. In this role, you will build repeatable frameworks that help grow revenue across performance and growth advertising products while keeping product, sales, and legal teams aligned. You will also identify blockers, inefficient workflows, and operational gaps that can delay or limit commercialization.

The right candidate will have experience building or scaling performance ad products in a digital platform setting and understand outcome-based buying models such as cost-per-action bidding, conversion optimization, audience targeting, measurement, attribution, and campaign feedback loops at scale. You should understand how growth marketers evaluate ad platforms and how to convert complex ad-tech capabilities into a clear selling story for sales teams. This is a high-visibility position with significant ownership over commercialization and issue resolution for Roku’s performance advertising business.

What You’ll Do

  • Shape and maintain strategy for Roku’s performance advertising portfolio so that roadmaps and priorities reflect market conditions, buyer needs, and business goals.
  • Review delivery, bidding, targeting, forecasting, and measurement processes to uncover gaps and recommend scalable improvements.
  • Work with Product Management, Ad Sales, Operations, and Legal to remove barriers to revenue growth by solving compliance, operational, and go-to-market issues.
  • Create scalable operating frameworks across direct channels such as the Home Screen and native placements, as well as in-stream video advertising.
  • Act as the main owner for performance advertising go-to-market initiatives, keeping teams aligned, accountable, and focused on measurable results.
  • Oversee launch preparedness and execution for new performance buying products so Ad Sales can support advertisers from the first day.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in strategy and operations, growth or performance marketing, or a similar role, preferably in digital advertising.
  • Hands-on experience managing performance budgets and understanding how optimization and budget decisions are made.
  • Ability to influence product direction using market research, competitor insights, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with a history of improving processes and producing measurable business impact.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Practical use of AI to improve productivity in research, presentations, briefing materials, financial analysis, and related work.
  • A demonstrated history of growth, promotion, and expanding responsibility in previous roles.

Compensation

For candidates in New York, the expected annual base salary for this role is $130,000 to $170,000. Pay is determined by factors such as skills, certifications, and location.

Benefits

This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability coverage, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

Roku also offers a broad benefits package that may include access to mental health and financial wellness support, as well as statutory and voluntary benefits depending on location. These can include medical, dental, and vision coverage, accident and disability insurance, commuter support, and retirement options such as 401(k) or pension plans. Time off is supported in line with local leave policies and individual needs, though not all benefits are available in every location or for every role.

Hybrid Work Model

Roku uses a hybrid schedule in which teams are generally in the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays flexible for remote work. Exceptions may apply for roles that require a five-day office presence or locations with a five-day in-office policy.

Accommodations

Roku provides reasonable accommodations and adjustments in line with applicable law. Candidates who need support during the hiring process can contact [email protected].

Culture

Roku emphasizes speed, collaboration, trust, and practical problem-solving. The company looks for people who are strong at their craft, easy to work with, able to keep egos in check, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment. The culture values bold thinking, humor, and a bias toward action, with solutions expected to be both designed and delivered.
