The design function creates seamless omnichannel shopping experiences for millions of users by combining research and data. The team follows a simple, iterative, user-centered approach and is made up of people from varied backgrounds and cultures.
Role Overview
This role is focused on building high-quality UX experiences for Nykaa's B2B business. The selected designer will work closely with product managers, developers, product designers, and creative teams to understand business needs, attract the right audiences, and continuously improve customer delight. The position sits within the core UX team and contributes to product growth, conversion improvement, and broader business metrics. A major part of the role involves user research, building case studies, shaping intuitive browsing journeys, strengthening product growth through experience design, and maintaining scalable design systems. The work also requires a strong data-oriented mindset and the ability to use insights to guide design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to product strategy focused on growth and innovation while taking ownership of performance outcomes.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver aligned design solutions.
- Apply design-system thinking and make practical decisions within a complex organizational setup.
- Form hypotheses, run experiments, and use data to validate design choices.
- Guide and review work within your pod while supporting team output.
- Deliver strong results in a fast-moving environment with quick review cycles.
- Extract insights from data and translate them into data-led design initiatives.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in planning and executing UX research, with a strong focus on accessibility, usability, and innovation.
- Ability to understand user problems, create solutions, and translate them into high-fidelity mockups and interactions in partnership with engineers.
- Experience identifying scalable design approaches and contributing to design systems.
- At least 3 years of practical UX design experience across web, iOS, and Android.
- Comfort working on multiple design priorities in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Understanding of technical constraints and the ability to communicate design rationale effectively to stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma or a similar tool for high-fidelity UI design.
- Ability to use data in the design process to improve customer experience.
- An online portfolio showing a strong design process and interaction design work.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in UX design.
- Experience with at least 2 live projects in a B2C environment or relevant e-commerce work.
Additional Information
This position is based in Gurugram, Haryana, India and follows a full-time, onsite work model. The opportunity is for candidates who can demonstrate relevant UX design experience, a strong portfolio, and familiarity with e-commerce or consumer-facing product work.
