Job description

About Quandri

Quandri is using AI to reshape the insurance experience for policyholders across North America. The company builds for insurance agencies and brokerages, helping them modernize the way they work and serve customers. By combining a strong understanding of insurance workflows, systems, and data with advanced technical capability, Quandri aims to improve service, support growth, and enable better use of AI across the insurance distribution ecosystem.

Insurance agencies face growing pressure from consolidation, a shortage of talent, rising complexity, and rapid technological change. Quandri sees this as an opportunity to reimagine how the industry operates and to deliver meaningful improvements one process at a time.

The company is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and has a distributed team across North America. It is backed by well-known investors and has been recognized by several industry and business lists.

About the Role

Quandri is hiring a Product Co-op for a 4 to 12 month term beginning in September 2026. The role is based in Vancouver and requires working from the office three days per week. This is a practical, hands-on opportunity to work directly with product managers, designers, and engineers at an AI-first company. The role is designed for someone who can contribute from day one and who uses AI as part of their day-to-day approach to work.

The compensation for this position is $20 to $27 per hour, plus 4% in lieu of benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and similar platforms to speed up discovery tasks, summarize research, analyze competitors, and draft product documentation.
  • Support the definition and ranking of product needs by researching users, reviewing data, and collecting input from customers and internal teams, while using AI to identify patterns at scale.
  • Draft well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications that help engineering and design teams execute effectively.
  • Assist with discovery and validation by comparing competitor offerings, combining qualitative insights, and spotting improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and summarize key product metrics, using data to highlight trends and guide decisions.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and customer success to help launch features smoothly.
  • Take part in sprint activities such as standups, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to roadmap discussions and help keep product documentation organized and current.

What We’re Looking For

  • You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • You already use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT in meaningful ways as part of your regular workflow, beyond basic prompting.
  • You communicate clearly in writing and speaking, and can explain ideas as well as trade-offs.
  • You have an analytical approach and are comfortable using data to support product choices.
  • You are naturally curious, ask thoughtful questions, and are willing to test assumptions.
  • You can juggle several tasks and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • You have a real interest in product management and in creating strong user experiences.

Bonus Experience

  • Prior co-op, internship, or project work in product, design, or a technical role.
  • Practical use of AI research or coding tools beyond beginner-level prompting, including building prompts, workflows, or automations that save time.
  • Exposure to product tools such as Jira, Confluence, Linear, or comparable platforms.
  • Familiarity with data tools including Posthog, Databricks, and SQL.
  • Experience working in agile or scrum environments.

Our Working Principles

  • Keep the customer central to every decision.
  • Move quickly and act with urgency when appropriate.
  • Stay curious and seek a deeper understanding.
  • Strive for high-quality execution in everything you do.
  • Think and act like an owner.
  • Prefer simple, streamlined solutions over unnecessary complexity.
  • Lead with AI across products, operations, and workflows.

Inclusion and Hiring Approach

Quandri is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace. Applicants are considered without regard to race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.

The company also notes that the right candidate may not look perfect on paper, and encourages strong applicants to apply even if they do not match every requirement.

As part of its hiring process, Quandri uses AI to support administrative tasks such as resume review and interview note-taking. These tools assist the process, but do not make hiring decisions. All final decisions are made by people. If you have questions about data handling or AI use in the hiring process, the company welcomes you to ask.
