Role Overview
Stord is hiring an Associate Product Manager for its Commerce team. This is a hands-on new graduate role focused on products that affect the customer journey after purchase as well as the systems that support fulfillment, warehouse operations, and transportation. Unlike typical APM programs, this role is designed for direct product ownership early on, with real responsibilities and production impact.
Work Location
This position is based in Atlanta, GA, at Stord’s office near Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, within the fulfillment center. The role is in person at least three days each week, with the expectation that working close to operations will help deepen product understanding and improve decision-making.
What You Will Do
- Work with engineering and design partners to shape, define, and deliver features on an active product roadmap.
- Create clear PRDs that translate business and user needs into buildable product requirements.
- Speak with customers and turn their feedback into practical product direction.
- Review product usage data and operational metrics to assess performance and identify gaps.
- Take ownership of details such as edge cases, launch readiness, and error handling.
- Contribute actively in sprint planning, prioritization discussions, and cross-functional reviews.
- Help coordinate launches with sales, customer success, and operations teams.
What Stord Is Looking For
The company is open to candidates without prior product management experience, but wants someone who naturally thinks about how products work, where users get stuck, and how things can be improved. Strong communication, a curious mindset, and an ability to work through ambiguity are important for success in this role.
Preferred Background
- Experience shipping something such as a class project, hackathon build, internship work, or side project.
- Exposure to B2B SaaS, logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain environments.
- Basic familiarity with tools such as Jira, Figma, Notion, or SQL.
- Ability to combine qualitative feedback and quantitative analysis into a recommendation.
Success Milestones
In the first 30 days, you should understand the full product ecosystem, know your team and users, and contribute meaningfully to at least one active workstream. By 90 days, you should be driving a feature from discovery to launch with limited support and bringing customer insights that influence team thinking. By six months, you should be an independent contributor with credible product opinions and strong working relationships with engineers and designers.
