Job Overview
Sage Expense Management is a leading innovator in expense tracking software tailored for small to mid-sized businesses across various sectors. Our platform assists organisations in managing receipts, automating approval workflows, and providing actionable insights into their spending patterns. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded Procurement Specialist to become part of our fully remote team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and continuously improve procurement strategies to maximize cost-efficiency throughout the organisation.
- Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers through comprehensive assessments to ensure quality and reliability.
- Lead vendor contract negotiations to achieve optimal terms, pricing, and service agreements.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with current vendors to guarantee consistent product and service standards.
- Analyze market trends and spending data to uncover cost-saving opportunities and enhance procurement processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, IT, and Operations to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.
- Manage the complete procurement workflow, including purchase order initiation and final payment processing.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Keep accurate and well-organized records of procurement documentation, including contracts and agreements.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in procurement roles such as Procurement Specialist or Purchasing Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement methodologies, sourcing strategies, and contract management practices.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills enabling effective vendor and team interactions.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Competence in procurement software tools and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently in a remote work environment.
- Experience in the technology or SaaS sector is highly preferred.
- Professional credentials in procurement (e.g., Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply - CIPS) are an advantage.
