Role Overview

This is a full-time remote position for a Procurement and Vendor Relations Specialist responsible for overseeing the complete procurement cycle for safety and security hardware and associated services. Key duties include creating and handling purchase orders, keeping accurate procurement records, and ensuring timely delivery of required equipment and materials. The role involves identifying and evaluating suppliers, fostering vendor relationships, and assisting with contract negotiations to obtain advantageous pricing and terms. The specialist will monitor supplier performance, manage quality and delivery issues, and coordinate closely with internal teams to align procurement with operational requirements and budget constraints. They will also drive improvements in procurement processes and ensure adherence to company policies and relevant industry standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Excellent procurement expertise, encompassing planning, sourcing, and purchasing safety and security equipment.
• Proficiency in managing purchase orders, including preparation, tracking, and documentation.
• Competence in supplier evaluation to assess vendor capability, reliability, and compliance.
• Skill in contract negotiation aimed at securing favorable pricing, terms, and service agreements.
• Strong analytical abilities for cost assessments, performance tracking, and data-driven decisions.
• Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, preferably within safety, engineering, or industrial product sectors.
• Effective communication and relationship management skills, capable of collaborating productively in remote working environments.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with standard office and procurement software tools.
• Possession of a diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
