Role overview
Wills Bros Ltd is hiring an experienced Pre-Tendering Coordinator for its Precontracts team in Sallins, County Kildare, Republic of Ireland. This office-based position offers the chance to support complex civil engineering and structural work in a live, high-security setting, while maintaining strong standards in quality, safety, and compliance.
Reporting to the Lead Prequalification Manager, the role focuses on preparing selected Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and selection-stage submissions for civil engineering projects in both public and private sectors. It calls for close coordination with engineering, commercial, quality, HSEQ, technical bids, and site teams, along with strong technical writing, organisation, and commercial awareness.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of selected PQQ, EOI, and selection-stage submissions, coordinating the information, schedules, and review process.
- Review procurement documents and scoring criteria to make sure submissions are fully compliant.
- Write concise, evidence-led responses that highlight the company's capability, experience, and key differentiators.
- Keep ISO, HSEQ, and sustainability content accurate, current, and aligned with client expectations.
- Maintain project reference records, CVs, and supporting evidence libraries to enable efficient, repeatable submissions.
- Gather inputs from project, operational, and functional teams and drive completion against deadlines and quality standards.
- Manage procurement portals and tender databases, including opportunity tracking and submission monitoring.
- Support and guide junior team members involved in prequalification work.
Experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quality, Health & Safety, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Previous experience in construction or civil engineering within the Irish and/or EU market is required, along with hands-on exposure to prequalification, pre-contracts, bidding, or tendering.
Applicants should also have strong document production skills, the ability to break down complex information into clear language, excellent written communication, solid organisation, attention to detail, and a working understanding of Irish public procurement and tender procedures.
