About the Role
Join a locally owned and operated Loblaw Companies Limited store to deliver essential health, beauty, and convenience services within your community, prioritizing customer needs in all aspects of your work. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the full-service retail postal operations, including courier services, postal box management, money transfers, and parcel handling, with the goal of maximizing departmental revenue and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead by example, ensuring Post Office staff embody the company's CORE Values.
- Participate in the hiring process by interviewing candidates and making recommendations for final selection.
- Oversee Post Office cashiers to ensure compliance with all Store Standards.
- Provide comprehensive training on job functions to employees and offer continuous coaching and guidance.
- Assist in the completion of performance reviews for Post Office cashier staff in collaboration with the FSM.
Customer Service Excellence
- Guarantee that customer service consistently exceeds expectations.
- Ensure all employees maintain a professional public image in accordance with the Uniform Policy.
Loss Prevention
- Implement and ensure adherence to all loss prevention systems and procedures as per company Standards.
- Verify that all procedures related to parcel checks are strictly followed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated ability in planning, judgment, and decision-making.
- Capacity for independent thinking and problem-solving when addressing customer requests.
- Ability to make sound judgments and decisions by effectively gathering information to find appropriate solutions.
- Must be able to execute tasks and achieve goals as directed by management.
- Previous experience in a retail environment and with cash handling is required.
- Possess superior interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit efficient time management capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Effective organization and planning skills are necessary.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service is paramount.
Working Conditions
