Job description
Role Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for administering employee pay accurately and in line with company procedures and applicable legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Run payroll on a monthly or bi-weekly cycle for employees.
- Review and validate timesheets, attendance data, and leave balances before processing.
- Work out salaries, incentives, overtime pay, and any applicable deductions.
- Make sure payroll activities comply with local labor regulations.
- Record payroll-related journal entries in the accounting system.
- Match payroll accounts, investigate variances, and fix discrepancies.
- Administer end-of-service entitlements and settlements.
- Oversee payroll-related taxes, social security contributions, and other statutory deductions.
- Prepare payroll summaries and reports for internal use.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline is required.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in payroll accounting is needed.
- Prior exposure to UAE payroll laws and regulations is mandatory.
Compensation
The role offers a salary of AED 13,000 per month, along with benefits.
