Job description
Position Overview
For an internationally active industrial company with a strong market position, we are looking for a payroll specialist who enjoys handling compensation, reporting and benefits matters independently. The role offers a wide scope of responsibility, room to shape processes and a professional environment with short decision paths and attractive long-term prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of payroll processing for employees and pensioners in line with applicable legal requirements.
- Coordinate external payroll providers across several European countries.
- Support employees with questions related to payroll, compensation and benefits.
- Prepare ad hoc reports, forecasts and budget plans covering salaries and personnel costs.
- Calculate hypothetical tax for international assignments and collaborate with tax advisors on related matters.
- Assist with bonus and merit cycles as well as the coordination of pension and benefit programs.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of time and attendance systems and prepare A1 certificates.
- Contribute to audits and reviews involving tax and social security topics.
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or a degree with a focus on human resources, business administration or a comparable field.
- At least five years of payroll experience in Germany.
- Solid knowledge of reporting, forecasting and budget planning.
- Experience calculating hypothetical tax for internationally assigned employees.
- Confident use of common payroll as well as time and attendance systems, such as ADP or Paisy.
- Fluent communication skills in German at native/C2 level and English at least at C1 level.
- Previous exposure to a production environment and HR digitalization projects is an advantage.
