Position Overview

The Patient Advocate plays a crucial role in maintaining client loyalty and generating referrals by offering clear, efficient, and valuable assistance to all callers. They act as a communication bridge with Adjusters and Nurse Case Managers to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Their role demands empathy, positivity, and a team-oriented mindset to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate outbound calls to arrange patient appointments promptly, ensuring adherence to both internal and external performance metrics.
  • Comprehend and adhere to MedRisk's interdepartmental policies and procedures.
  • Achieve department objectives related to quality and productivity of work.
  • Undertake special assignments or projects as delegated by supervisors.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to every caller.
  • Investigate cases requiring additional information to facilitate patient scheduling for initial evaluations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Self-driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Capable of multitasking efficiently in a fast-paced environment and working independently.
  • Attention to detail coupled with effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
