Overview
Jovie of San Antonio is hiring dependable, child-focused sitters to provide in-home support for families in and around San Antonio, TX. This role is a strong fit for people who enjoy working with children ages 1 to 13 and want a schedule that leaves room for the rest of their life. It can also be a great way to build experience while earning consistent income.
Compensation
The role pays $16 to $16.25 per hour. Pay is issued every two weeks, and eligible drives are reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate. Wages may increase twice a year based on performance.
What the Role Involves
You will care for infants, toddlers, and school-age children in the family's home, working independently and following each household's expectations. Assignments are placed within roughly 30 miles of your home so travel stays manageable.
- Lead children in safe, age-appropriate activities that keep them engaged
- Support everyday routines such as meals, naps, play, and bedtime
- Prepare bottles, snacks, and simple food items using the family's guidance
- Drive children when needed, using a reliable vehicle
- Keep the environment safe and respond to minor first-aid needs
- Respect family preferences and adjust care to suit each household

Requirements
- At least one year of childcare experience in a professional or similar setting
- Experience with family members is acceptable as added background, but not as the only experience
- Two to three childcare references, which can include both professional and family references
- CPR/First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain it
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Availability for two regular weekdays between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Comfort with a flexible weekly schedule, typically 5 to 20 hours per week
