Full Time / Part Time Nanny

Role Overview

This opportunity is for a backup nanny supporting multiple families on an as-needed basis. The role is designed for someone who enjoys active, creative childcare and needs a schedule that can adapt around school, family, or another job. It may suit experienced babysitters, daycare staff, nannies, church nursery volunteers, or retired teachers looking for a smaller setting than a classroom.

What You’ll Do

• Provide in-home care for children without being responsible for transporting them.
• Keep child-related areas tidy with only simple cleanup connected to your activities or meals.
• Support families with children from infancy through toddler age, with the strongest demand for care for children under 2.
• Use age-appropriate, hands-on activities to keep children safe, engaged, and developmentally supported.

Schedule and Work Setup

This is an on-site role based in Del Mar, California. You should be available on any 3 or more weekdays for 6 to 8 hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The position requires flexibility to travel to different homes in the area, and transportation must be reliable.

Who We’re Looking For

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience caring for children is required, whether paid or unpaid.
• Infant care experience is mandatory.
• You should be comfortable traveling to various households throughout the local area.
• Strong communication, responsiveness, and a warm, positive attitude are important.
