About the Role
This position is part of a hospitality team that focuses on creating meaningful guest experiences while supporting the character and standards of the place it serves. The outlet cashier is responsible for handling guest payments accurately and securely, while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the food and beverage outlets.
What You’ll Do
- Process guest checks, payments, discounts, and promotional adjustments correctly through the point-of-sale system.
- Protect cash, payment methods, and the assigned cash float in line with financial and audit controls.
- Check card payments, room charges, and guest signatures to confirm billing accuracy and security.
- Complete shift-end reconciliation for cash, card, and room-charge totals against POS records.
- Ensure all voids, corrections, and discounts are properly approved and documented.
- Work closely with Front Office and Food & Beverage colleagues to keep service and operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Bring
You should have at least one year of experience in an outlet cashier role or a similar position. The role calls for strong accuracy, fast and careful handling of payments, and a detail-oriented approach. You’ll need to stay composed in busy situations, use good judgment to solve problems, and communicate clearly with guests and teammates. Comfort with basic computer tools, spreadsheets, and POS systems is important, along with confident English reading, writing, and speaking. Additional languages will be an advantage.
