Role overview
This opening is for a Warehouse Operator based in Limerick. It suits someone with prior warehouse or stores experience who is comfortable in a busy environment and values accuracy, collaboration, and high operating standards. The role supports the daily running of the warehouse by making sure incoming goods are checked properly, stock is managed accurately, and materials are supplied to internal teams on time.
You will also be responsible for keeping SAP records up to date, assisting with stock movement activities, and ensuring the warehouse remains clean, safe, and well organised.
Core duties
- Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders, delivery paperwork, and SAP records.
- Log received items accurately and maintain reliable records for all goods accepted into the warehouse.
- Use SAP to issue spare parts, silicon, chemicals, and gases to manufacturing teams.
- Handle returned items and put-away transactions through SAP warehouse management processes.
- Move parts and non-stock materials around the site when needed.
- Keep SAP updated based on requests from engineers and suppliers.
- Support the full range of warehouse activities and escalate any problems when necessary.
- Maintain strong housekeeping standards across the warehouse area.
- Work in line with health and safety rules as well as departmental procedures.
- Coordinate with colleagues so daily work is completed efficiently.
- Carry out tasks using established processes and with limited supervision.
Skills and experience
- A third-level qualification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or 2 to 5 years of relevant warehouse or stores experience.
- Prior use of SAP or a similar warehouse management system is an advantage.
- A forklift licence would be beneficial.
- A clean driving licence is required.
- Comfort using warehouse equipment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard business systems.
- Strong communication and analytical ability.
- Customer service mindset.
- Positive attitude, dependable work habits, and good punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-moving setting.
- Ability to act quickly and prioritise work appropriately.
- Understanding of 6S and lean practices is an added advantage.
