Role Overview

The firm is looking for a dedicated Operations Analyst or Associate to join the Post-Trade Support team focused on Futures Operations. This individual will oversee daily post-trade activities for the firm's listed futures, ensuring accuracy across trade processing, reconciliations, settlements, and margin management. Collaboration with internal teams such as Trading, Portfolio Management, Risk, and Finance, as well as with external partners, is essential to efficiently address operational challenges and enhance process effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily post-trade workflow involving listed futures and options on futures across global exchanges.
  • Ensure prompt allocation, affirmation, and settlement of trades with brokers and clearing entities.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of trades, position data, cash balances, and margin accounts.
  • Investigate trade discrepancies, exceptions in reconciliations, and settlement issues to resolution.
  • Oversee contract expirations, rolls, and various stages in the futures lifecycle.
  • Work closely with Trading, Portfolio Management, Risk, Finance, and external parties to resolve operational matters.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date trade and account information within internal systems.
  • Support daily margin calculations and collateral transfer activities.
  • Implement daily operational controls, escalating any exceptions as required.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve processes and support automation to boost operational efficiency.
  • Assist in system testing, launching new products, and managing operational projects.
  • Document procedures thoroughly and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Between two to five years experience in operations related to listed futures, derivatives, or capital markets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the futures trade lifecycle, including clearing, settlement, reconciliations, and margin processes.
  • Familiarity with trading, clearing, or reconciliation software platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills paired with a collaborative mindset.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a similar field is preferred.
