About the role
L’Oréal is seeking an Online Shopper & Experience Lead to shape the digital customer journey for its L’Oréal Luxe portfolio in Australia. Reporting to the CMO, this position owns the strategy for web and platform presence, with the goal of creating a premium online experience that reflects the luxury beauty space. This is an 8-month maximum term contract.
Key responsibilities
- Create and roll out local e-commerce and brand activation plans that connect global direction with annual business priorities and help grow luxury beauty market share.
- Track online business performance on an ongoing basis, reviewing sales, traffic, conversion, and acquisition cost metrics to uncover growth opportunities.
- Lead online merchandising, user experience, and customer service standards across digital channels, including direct-to-consumer, indirect channels, pure players, and Amazon.
- Work with media teams to shape lower-funnel media and brand activation efforts that improve customer conversion and strengthen marketing return.
- Recommend platform improvements, promotional activity, and product assortment changes based on data and campaign results.
- Advise brand teams on budget allocation to support efficient use of resources and alignment between brand initiatives and online sales objectives.
- Monitor competitors, emerging technologies, and consumer trends in e-commerce to keep the business responsive and competitive.
What we're looking for
- Proven background in managing digital platforms or e-commerce operations.
- Ability to manage projects and coordinate cross-functional work effectively.
- Strong analytical capability and confidence using data to guide decisions.
- Good understanding of UX/UI principles and how they shape online customer journeys.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A strategic mindset with an interest in luxury and the ability to turn consumer insight into polished digital experiences.
