Role Overview
This position is part of the Food and Beverage & Culinary team in Dubai at a luxury hospitality property. The role focuses on creating a memorable guest experience through attentive food and beverage service, with responsibility for maintaining service standards, working efficiently with the kitchen, and ensuring the service area stays organized and clean.
Core Duties
The Guest Service Expert is expected to contribute to a seamless dining experience by taking initiative and handling a broad range of service tasks.
- Prepare tables and service areas to the required standard.
- Coordinate with the kitchen to support timely and accurate service.
- Interact with guests in a polished, professional, and helpful manner.
- Serve food and beverages as part of the guest experience.
- Clear, clean, and maintain work areas and related supplies.
- Carry out any additional reasonable duties assigned by the business.
Standards and Working Conditions
Success in this role requires strict attention to workplace safety, company procedures, service quality, and professional grooming and communication. The job is physically active and involves extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, and moving across uneven, sloped, or slippery surfaces. The role also requires the ability to read and verify menu information and to perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping. Objects may weigh up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with less than one year of relevant experience. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
