Role overview
As a Merchandising Specialist, you will help maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready sales floor and showroom. The role focuses on keeping merchandise stocked and faced properly, preparing the store for selling, and making sure the retail area reflects a polished and welcoming appearance.
Key duties
- Welcome shoppers on the sales floor, help them find products, or refer them to a parts specialist when they need hard parts.
- Receive stock, apply pricing, and place items on the sales floor.
- Keep displays full, neat, and front-faced, and handle daily Image Maker-related tasks.
- Update displays based on company standards, maintain planograms, complete price-tag changes, and ensure promotional signs are displayed correctly.
- Take down sale signage and restore regular pricing once promotions end.
- Support stock corrections, cycle counts, and returns of excess inventory.
- Coordinate with the manager to finish weekly inventory and merchandising assignments.
- When needed, act as a cashier or make deliveries using a company vehicle, provided the driving record meets required eligibility standards.
- Carry out any other work assigned by management.
Skills, knowledge, and experience
The role calls for strong organization, the ability to read and match letters and numbers accurately, basic computer literacy, and the capacity to work effectively in a team. Previous stocking experience is preferred, and being able to drive a manual transmission vehicle is also desirable.
