Job description

Role overview

This position sits within the supply chain function and focuses on making sure the correct materials are available at the correct place and time to keep production and distribution running smoothly. The role also includes carrying out purchasing activity, handling supplier transactions, and securing goods and services in a timely and cost-efficient way.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan replenishment and purchasing activities so material availability aligns with production and distribution needs.
  • Support purchasing decisions while keeping spend controlled and procedures compliant.
  • Assist daily operations through coordination with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Use planning and purchasing systems effectively to maintain accurate process flow and data.
  • Monitor inventory levels and help maintain appropriate stock availability.
  • Track supplier performance and lead times, and help resolve supply issues as they arise.
  • Work closely with procurement, operations, and other stakeholders to keep workflows aligned.

What you need to bring

You should have at least 3 years of experience in supply planning, replenishment, or MRP-related roles. Strong hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems is important, along with advanced Excel and solid data analysis ability. The role also calls for confident stakeholder engagement across procurement, operations, and suppliers, plus good negotiation and communication skills. Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or multi-site environments is preferred. Strong attention to detail, good organisation, and the ability to manage several vendors and priorities at once are essential.

What’s on offer

This is a strong opportunity to join a recognised business and become part of its supply chain team while taking the next step in your career. There is plenty of scope to learn and grow in the role.
