This is a full-time fixed-term opportunity running until June 2027. The Marketing and Communications team works across Auckland and Wellington to plan and deliver joined-up internal and external marketing and communications activity that strengthens client relationships, adds clear value and insight for clients, and keeps people connected to the firm’s direction and priorities.
As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will be part of a national group of specialists and work closely with multidisciplinary teams and business leaders to shape and execute end-to-end campaigns and communication strategies that support engagement, business growth, and client growth. In this senior advisory role, you will guide sector and business-unit teams on effective go-to-market approaches and campaign delivery.
The role also sits in a fast-changing environment that includes AI and emerging technologies, creating scope to contribute to innovative initiatives and modern ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver integrated marketing and communications plans that support business and client objectives.
- Partner with sector leaders, business units, and cross-functional teams to execute campaigns from strategy through to delivery.
- Advise internal stakeholders on best-practice go-to-market planning and campaign execution.
- Strengthen client engagement through targeted messaging, insight-led content, and coordinated communications activity.
- Support employee engagement by aligning communications with the firm’s strategy and priorities.
- Contribute to initiatives involving AI and other emerging technologies within marketing and communications.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in service-led sectors such as financial services, professional services, engineering, or infrastructure.
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field.
- Strong written communication, editing, collaboration, stakeholder management, and project management capability.
- Experience working in a large corporate setting and handling complex stakeholder environments.
- Exposure to technology, digital products, or technology-focused marketing and communications work would be an advantage.
- A track record of building marketing and communications strategies and putting them into action.
- Well-developed people skills and a collaborative style that builds trust and credibility.
- Confidence acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
- Strong organisational ability, resilience, adaptability, and comfort working to multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Constructive attitude toward feedback and ongoing improvement.
Perks
- Discretionary bonus potential, referral bonuses, and access to retail discounts and deals.
- Global network access, leadership development, AI tools and training, and formal learning pathways.
- Annual wellbeing allowance of $250, plus life and income protection, employee support services, Headspace access, and 15 paid sick days pro-rated.
- Group-rate health insurance, subject to eligibility.
- Flexible working arrangements and a supportive coaching culture.
- Two paid recognition days during the annual summer shutdown period, with the option to buy up to two additional weeks of annual leave.
- Paid parental leave for all parents, flexible options, financial planning support, inclusive networks, and paid volunteering leave.
