Role overview
This position is central to delivering the hotel’s marketing and communications agenda. The successful person will work with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the hotel’s presence in the market and support a wide range of brand, guest engagement, reputation, public relations, storytelling, social media, and creative campaign activity. The role also contributes to project delivery that helps position Hyatt Regency Sydney as a leading destination to stay, dine, visit, and work.
Key duties
- Plan and manage public relations activity across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, while supporting the external PR agency.
- Protect and grow the hotel’s digital reputation by reviewing and responding to online feedback and making sure all communications and collateral meet global brand requirements.
- Review, guide, and approve design assets so that brand presentation remains consistent and high quality.
- Coordinate engaging media familiarisation experiences that highlight the hotel’s offerings.
- Shape social media direction and content to increase reach, audience engagement, and brand visibility.
- Oversee the creation of photography and video content from concept through to delivery.
- Develop persuasive written content for marketing campaigns, promotional offers, and food & beverage events.
- Support award entry preparation that showcases team achievements and excellence.
- Assist with larger initiatives such as website launches, digital projects, and property-related marketing activities.
- Work with different internal teams to deliver impactful marketing campaigns.
- Support the coaching and development of colleagues within the marketing team.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant is a creative and strategic marketer with strong experience in public relations, social media, and content development. Hospitality experience is preferred, and background in luxury marketing will be an added advantage. The role calls for excellent communication, writing, and project coordination skills, along with a strong eye for detail, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine interest in storytelling and guest experience.
