Job description
Role Overview
This position oversees maintenance activities for equipment based in Kumasi and reports to the Maintenance Manager. The role exists in a setting where rising spare-parts prices make maintenance cost control difficult, and where it can be challenging to source dependable contractors and suppliers for repair and upkeep work.
Key Duties
- Support the Maintenance Manager in planning and rolling out preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Take charge of monitoring and controlling preventive and corrective maintenance execution.
- Coordinate and supervise all maintenance activities in Kumasi.
- Keep track of contractors’ spare-parts inventory to help ensure maintenance work runs efficiently.
- Draft monthly maintenance activity updates and send them to the Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure maintenance contractors follow all HSEQ expectations, including Golden Rules, Group Safety Guidelines, ICC, and MAESTRO requirements.
- Confirm that all sites meet applicable legal obligations as well as TotalEnergies standards and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain a strong system for evaluating contractor performance.
- Take part in monthly maintenance and contractor review meetings.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should hold an Engineering degree or an HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline, supported by a strong technical foundation. The role also calls for a well-organized team player with solid monitoring ability, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and analytical thinking.
