Logistics Specialist (Defense)

Job Overview

The role focuses on warehouse and cold-chain logistics work within a defense-related environment. The position is centered on carrying out day-to-day warehouse activities safely, accurately, and in line with established procedures.

You will handle deliveries, asset tracking, and transaction paperwork, while also ensuring goods are managed securely. The job includes helping to roll out improvements that make warehouse operations more efficient.

This position may involve rotating shifts, and you should be comfortable handling heavy loads.

• Support cross-docking and shipment consolidation activities.
• Carry out warehouse work using 5S practices.
• Identify operational gaps, repair needs, or maintenance issues.
• Assist with methods for handling dangerous goods.
• Assist with handling cargo that is time- and temperature-sensitive.
• Support cargo consolidation tasks.
• Perform transhipment and transloading work.
• Observe height, weight, and special handling requirements when stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets.
• Carry out container stuffing and unstuffing.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of SAP or a Warehouse Management System.
• Comfort using basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy items and standing for long periods.
• Good collaborator who can also work independently.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.
• GCE N/O Levels or NITEC.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant warehouse operations experience.
