With close to 100 attorneys and more than 30 offices across the Central and Southeastern United States, the firm’s mission is to pursue the best possible results and the maximum compensation available for its clients.

Role Overview

The Litigation Paralegal will partner closely with attorneys on active matters, support trial preparation when necessary, handle fact-gathering tasks, and keep case files organized and current.

Core Duties

  • Carry out administrative, clerical, secretarial, and data-entry work.
  • Manage attorney calendars and coordinate scheduling.
  • Arrange depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
  • Organize and maintain documents using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • File legal documents electronically through Florida’s E-Portal system.
  • Support attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
  • Prepare legal paperwork such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
  • Distribute correspondence to parties and non-parties by email, standard mail, or certified mail.
  • Communicate professionally with clients.
  • Set up Court Calls or Zoom sessions for hearings.
  • Take on additional related responsibilities as assigned.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of litigation experience. Prior trial exposure is preferred, along with experience filing in both state and federal courts. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is expected. The role also calls for the ability to handle a demanding workload in a fast-moving environment while communicating clearly with clients and colleagues. Strong organization, multitasking, prioritization, and a collaborative mindset are important.

Benefits

Full-time employees and their families are eligible for a competitive benefits package. Highlights include competitive pay, paid time off, holiday, bereavement, and sick leave, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with firm match, group medical/dental/vision coverage, employer-paid supplemental benefits, optional supplemental benefits, and annual performance reviews.

Equal Opportunity

The firm is an equal opportunity employer. Duties and responsibilities may be changed, assigned, or reassigned at the firm’s sole discretion. Employment is at will.

E-Verify

This employer participates in E-Verify and will share Form I-9 information with the federal government to confirm work authorization in the United States. If E-Verify cannot verify authorization, the employer must provide written instructions and an opportunity to contact the Department of Homeland Security or the Social Security Administration before taking any adverse employment action, including termination. E-Verify is used only after a job offer has been accepted and the I-9 form completed.
