Job description
Role Overview
The role involves serving as an active instructor for all Life Support Training Center (LSTC) programs, maintaining current licensure, and ensuring effective organization and delivery of mandatory training to comply with standards. This includes developing curricula, conducting assessments, and managing training resources.
Primary Duties
- Lead instruction across all LSTC programs and participate in instructor training as needed.
- Create and prepare curriculum content, agendas, supporting materials such as reference documents, slides, and evaluation tools for Basic and Advanced courses.
- Administer both written and practical assessments to evaluate student competency and qualification for certification.
- Offer remedial support to participants where necessary, and issue completion certificates and course cards.
- Coordinate and run Mock Code drills (BLS/ACLS/NRP) for healthcare staff, ensuring proper monitoring and documentation.
- Keep abreast of latest intensive care and resuscitation research and guidelines, and establish collaboration with clinical experts.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control procedures for equipment cleaning and assist with technical troubleshooting.
- Assist in managing inventory to maintain all LSTC-required equipment in compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Prepare teaching spaces and skill labs to meet instructional and clinical demands, aligned with staff schedules.
- Engage regularly with management to monitor resuscitation training effectiveness and compliance.
- Maintain clear communication channels with multidisciplinary teams in both clinical and education environments.
- Contribute to outreach initiatives and support delivery of life support programs at other healthcare facilities as assigned.
- Compile test results within the SHA portal and ensure proper documentation standards.
- Utilize available resources efficiently to fulfill LSTC training objectives and support procurement processes for necessary equipment and supplies.
- Attend meetings with unit leaders and departmental teams to aid in LSTC workflow and policy implementation.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of teaching experience in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and related courses.
- Academic qualifications: MBBS or MD from an accredited medical school or Registered Nurse with BSc/MSc in Nursing, with valid country-specific registration.
- Certifications required: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications issued by AHA and SHA.
- Fluent command of Arabic and English languages.
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication capacities.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management for handling multiple responsibilities.
