Life Guard (Saudi Only)

Role Overview

This position is for a lifeguard at Courtyard by Marriott in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role sits within the Golf, Fitness, and Entertainment category and is a full-time, non-management on-site job.

What You Will Do

• Watch the swimming area closely and use the correct rescue methods whenever a swimmer needs help.
• Keep an eye out for unsafe behavior, risky conditions, or guests who may be unable to take part safely, and escalate concerns to a supervisor or manager.
• Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Encourage a pleasant, safe, and relaxing atmosphere for guests using the recreation area.
• Handle towels by collecting, folding, and stacking them in line with company procedures.
• Clean and maintain the pool deck by washing and mopping as needed.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly, and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies, protect confidential information, and safeguard company property.
• Welcome guests in a courteous way, maintain a professional appearance, and respond to service needs with care and respect.
• Support coworkers, communicate clearly, follow quality standards, and perform additional duties when requested.

Physical and Work Expectations

The role requires regular movement and alertness, including standing, sitting, or walking for long periods or an entire shift. You may need to move quickly, handle equipment, inspect tools for defects, and work across slippery, uneven, or sloped surfaces. The job also involves bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing items up to 50 pounds without help and over 75 pounds with assistance.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. No prior related work experience is required, and no supervisory experience is needed.

Required Certifications

You must have CPR certification and First Aid certification. Any additional certification or training required by local or state authorities must also be completed. Fitness equipment certification is also listed as part of the requirement set.
