Position Overview
The role of the Guest Services Officer at Courtyard by Marriott extends beyond standard check-in and check-out procedures. This position is centered around crafting a memorable and unique guest experience. The officer is entrusted with the autonomy to deliver a variety of services that enhance guests' entire stay, including managing operational tasks, responding to guest requests, preparing reports, and sharing local highlights. This dynamic role requires mobility within the workplace and a proactive approach to service.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Create a welcoming and safe environment aligned with company policies and quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets diligently.
- Present a professional image through appropriate uniform, personal grooming, and communication.
- Remain active throughout shifts including standing, sitting, walking, and engaging in physical tasks such as lifting or moving objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned to ensure exceptional guest service and operational success.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum education requirements include completion of high school or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No prior work experience or supervisory background is necessary.
- No certifications or licenses required.
