Forto is pioneering transformative changes in the global logistics industry by leveraging artificial intelligence to create digital supply chains that are transparent, frictionless, and sustainable. Our mission centers on simplifying global commerce through seamless, efficient logistics from the outset.
Role Overview
We seek an experienced Lead Product Manager for Financials to spearhead the product team responsible for transforming complex commercial agreements, cost structures, revenues, and margins into effective financial execution and business oversight. This role focuses on overseeing Forto's crucial Financials product domain, which ensures precise revenue recognition, cost management, margin protection, and trustworthy financial transparency, positioned uniquely at the confluence of logistics and finance.
You will mentor and guide two Product Managers managing interconnected domains, elevating product strategy, decision-making, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the product management team accountable for Forto's financial workflows, encompassing procured services, committed capacity, cost configurations, and margin supervision.
- Develop and execute the Financials product vision, covering revenue, cost, invoicing, VAT, foreign exchange, reporting, financial controls, profitability insights, and customer-facing financial processes.
- Clarify intricate financial, commercial, operational, and data challenges into succinct, actionable product directions.
- Drive results that safeguard margins, curtail revenue leakage, optimize cost-to-serve, and enhance trusted financial visibility.
- Create compelling narratives to harmonize Finance, Tax, Operations, Engineering, Product, Data, Commercial, and Leadership stakeholders around critical decisions.
- Coach two Product Managers to advance ownership, judgment, communication, and strategic thinking.
- Investigate and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance automation, exception management, decision support, process performance, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 8 years in Product Management within complex B2B settings such as platforms, logistics, supply chains, financial systems, marketplaces, or enterprise software.
- At least 2 years of experience mentoring or managing Product Managers.
- Excellent systems thinking capability to integrate product, process, data, operations, commercial logic, and financial outcomes.
- Strong product decision-making aptitude amidst ambiguity without reliance on perfect information.
- Proficiency in influencing senior stakeholders through clear, persuasive communication to resolve conflicting priorities and drive consensus.
- Comfortable operating in high-stakes financial, operational, regulated, or audit-sensitive environments.
- Practical understanding of AI, including shaping or assessing AI-enabled products, automation, or decision-support tools.
Preferred Expertise
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, procurement, cost oversight, or operational platforms.
- Background in financial systems including billing, accounting-adjacent products, pricing, tax, reporting, or financial governance.
- Proven success in managing product lines requiring regulatory compliance, audit readiness, stringent data quality, or operational reliability.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI or large language model capabilities for operational workflows, exception management, automation, or decision assistance.
