Job description
About the Company
Forto is modernizing global logistics by using AI to make supply chains more transparent, smoother to operate, and more sustainable. The company’s goal is to simplify international trade and build a more seamless end-to-end logistics experience.
Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of product, operations, design, and engineering in a space where information is often incomplete and conditions change quickly. The role is centered on improving operational efficiency and helping operations teams handle more shipments with the same level of service quality.
You will work on products that support decision-making and execution in complex logistics workflows, including the move toward more autonomous processes. A key focus is strengthening profitability by increasing operational throughput and reducing friction across the shipment journey.
What You’ll Do
- Own the product area that supports operational execution, covering the flow from customer booking requests through to final invoicing.
- Improve how documentation is processed by developing and advancing FlashDoc, the company’s agent-based processing solution.
- Partner closely with operations teams across Germany, China, Vietnam, Poland, and Italy to build solutions that serve both customer needs and business goals.
- Validate ideas through experimentation, then reduce risk by shipping improvements in small, measurable steps.
- Create products that gradually enable more autonomous decision-making and execution while still delivering immediate value to operations teams.
Required Experience
- At least 4 years of experience building technology-driven products with product management ownership, preferably in a complex B2B environment.
- A strong record of launching products that improve user experience and contribute positively to business performance.
- Ability to work deeply with subject-matter experts, understand complex domain detail, and translate it into scalable product systems that work across regions and stages of shipment processing.
- Leadership strength that does not rely on formal authority, with the ability to align stakeholders, create consensus, and drive change through influence.
- Comfort with making decisions when information is incomplete and guiding teams toward short, outcome-oriented iterations.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to agent-led workflows designed to process unstructured, real-world inputs such as customer emails.
- Previous experience in logistics is an advantage.
Who Should Apply
The company encourages candidates to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement, especially if they are excited by the role and align with the company’s values. People from diverse backgrounds and perspectives are welcomed.
Working Style and Culture
The team values high ownership, strong impact, direct and efficient communication, and thoughtful decision-making. It also emphasizes care for people, open discussion, and making space for different viewpoints when working toward solutions.
