About The Role
The Lead Consultant - Pre-Sales plays a pivotal role in developing and coordinating technical and strategic initiatives alongside the sales team and other key departments. This position acts as a principal authority for technical solutions while fostering robust relationships with vendors, partners, and clients. Additionally, the role involves leading the Pre-Sales Consulting team toward achieving consistent and high-quality presales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the Pre-Sales Consulting team to maintain quality and uniformity in support services.
- Serve as the primary expert in technical solution design for the designated products and services portfolio.
- Formulate and execute targeted strategies encompassing accounts, products, services, and sales efforts within the team.
- Guide opportunity qualification by offering strategic and technical counsel throughout the sales process.
- Oversee and coordinate proof of concepts (POC), requests for proposals (RFP), and key technical elements involved in deal finalization.
- Lead technical sales discussions and high-level customer engagements.
- Assess clients’ IT environments ensuring solutions meet industry standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales, Services, and various departments to ensure solution alignment with overall business strategies.
- Lead the bid preparation and review processes for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Drive and manage vendor relationships to secure optimal solutions balancing cost and quality.
- Monitor and report team performance through defined KPIs and metrics.
- Remain abreast of market developments, competitor activities, and product trends, sharing insights with the team.
- Implement and enforce CRM and other systems to optimize opportunity and deal management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields is required.
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, including management roles, is essential.
- Proven expertise with Dell Solutions Portfolio, including Storage, Backup Solutions, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure technologies.
