Job Summary
Al Sidra Road Construction Contg. LLC. is looking for a proficient Land Surveyor to join their road construction division in Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. This role is crucial for ensuring the precise alignment and positioning of road infrastructure. The Land Surveyor will be responsible for executing field surveys, setting up control points, and performing construction staking. Collaboration with engineers, project managers, and site teams is essential for successful project execution and adherence to design specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct topographic, route, and construction surveys for road and infrastructure projects.
- Establish survey control points, benchmarks, and reference markers.
- Perform construction staking and setting out for roads, drainage systems, culverts, utilities, and related structures.
- Operate surveying equipment including GPS/GNSS receivers, total stations, levels, and data collectors.
- Collect, process, and verify survey data to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare survey reports, field notes, drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, design plans, and specifications.
- Monitor construction activities to verify alignment, elevations, and dimensions.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site personnel to resolve survey-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to company safety procedures and industry standards.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional Surveyor certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE surveying experience, preferably in road construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong knowledge of topographic, construction, and cadastral surveying principles.
- Experience with GPS/GNSS, total stations, digital levels, and survey data processing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driving license preferred.
