About the Role
International Community Schools (ICS) Al Manhal, a prominent British curriculum school based in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to enrich our academic faculty. The school is dedicated to creating an inspiring and supportive environment where young learners can excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver interactive, developmentally suitable lessons in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Maintain a safe, encouraging, and child-centered classroom atmosphere to foster curiosity and passion for learning.
- Evaluate, track, and document student development while regularly communicating progress to parents or guardians.
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to refine curriculum content and contribute to school-wide educational initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning activities and support the school's goal of continuous enhancement.
Qualification Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education with an Early Years specialization, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Early Years or Primary education, or possession of valid UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A current teaching license or official certification valid in your original country.
Experience Needed
- At least 2 to 3 years of full-time teaching experience with children aged 3 to 5 years in a Kindergarten or Early Years teaching environment.
- Proven background working with the EYFS framework of the National Curriculum for England.
- Experience within international schools is preferred but not mandatory.

- Expertise in preparing play-based, engaging lesson plans aligned with EYFS standards.
- Strong classroom management skills tailored to early childhood education.
- Competency in employing educational technology tools to facilitate learning.
- Proficient in conducting formative and summative assessments according to EYFS guidelines.
- Effective English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A nurturing and patient approach suited for young learners.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish positive connections with students, parents, and colleagues.

Curriculum Expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical implementation of the EYFS framework from the National Curriculum of England.
- Familiarity with the seven learning and development areas within the EYFS curriculum.
- Experience facilitating play-based learning and child-led exploration as key components of the British Early Years learning approach.
- Capable of executing statutory assessment requirements associated with EYFS.
UAE-Specific Requirements
- Completion of the teacher licensing procedure through the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) upon hiring.
- Adherence to ADEK policies, standards, and regulations for private schools in Abu Dhabi.
- Eligibility and ability to acquire a UAE residency visa and Emirates ID.
- Provision of clear police clearance certificates from both the home country and the UAE.
