Role Overview

The Kindergarten Teacher role involves nurturing the early intellectual and social growth of children at the start of their elementary education. The teacher creates an environment and equips students with tools that promote responsibility and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive teaching plan tailored to young learners.
• Instruct children in basic alphabet and numeracy, along with fostering personal, social, and emotional skills.
• Organize and manage educational materials and resources effectively.
• Utilize diverse instructional techniques such as songs, stories, multimedia, structured games, arts, and outdoor activities to engage and inspire students.
• Maintain transparent communication channels with parents, providing relevant updates and information.
• Regularly assess student progress to ensure mastery of core skills.
• Observe children's interactions to encourage cooperation and sharing among peers.

Additional Information

The position is full-time with an itinerant location at 1001 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY. The salary range is $35,875 to $44,347 annually, competitive and based on degree and experience with the following scale:
- Bachelor’s Degree: $35,875 to $40,589
- Master’s Degree: $42,210 to $46,706
