This role offers a competitive salary package ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 plus superannuation, a company car, and commission opportunities. As a Key Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of strategic, high-value accounts, driving growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and influencing commercial and operational outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for managing key accounts in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and chemosafety sectors to enhance client retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth.
- Establish and nurture influential relationships with senior-level stakeholders across all accounts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within current and potential accounts to drive expansion.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans backed by business insights that influence client decisions.
- Engage with clients regularly through face-to-face meetings, reviews, and site visits to strengthen partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams weekly to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and uphold operational standards.
- Maintain precise account records, monitor performance metrics, and report on key business outcomes.
- Manage risks proactively while capitalizing on opportunities to optimize account profitability.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 3 to 5 or more years managing complex B2B key accounts within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, manufacturing, scientific, laboratory, packaging, or chemosafety sectors.
- Experience navigating compliance-driven and heavily regulated environments, adapting solutions to meet industry standards.
- Proven capability to blend account management with business development, achieving measurable retention and growth.
- Strong skills in building relationships and influencing senior and executive stakeholders effectively.
- Commercially savvy with the ability to identify opportunities, devise strategic initiatives, and close deals successfully.
- Highly driven with an entrepreneurial attitude and relentless focus on achieving results.
