Job description

About the company

Marley NZ is part of Aliaxis, a global organisation focused on solving water-related challenges and supporting the shift toward cleaner energy. The group is a leading supplier of premium piping and fitting systems used across building, infrastructure, industrial and agricultural applications worldwide, with more than 16,000 employees across 40+ countries and 80 manufacturing facilities.

In New Zealand and the Pacific, the business provides high-quality plastic pipes, fittings and building materials. Its local portfolio includes well-known brands such as Marley, RX Plastics and Dynex.

The company is committed to reducing its carbon footprint, delivering strong outcomes for customers with low environmental impact, and making a positive contribution to the community. It also values people who live its core behaviours: challenging the status quo and learning quickly, caring for the environment and for one another, and delivering through accountability.

About the role

This newly created, high-impact position is responsible for managing important customer partnerships within the custom extrusion and glazing sector. You will play a central role in the go-to-market approach, working with glazing fabricators, custom die owners and raw material customers to uncover opportunities, shape technical solutions and deliver commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Make health and safety the top priority in day-to-day work.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with key customers in the custom and glazing market.
  • Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities, including custom extrusion work.
  • Build and manage a healthy project and opportunity pipeline using CRM and tracking systems.
  • Work with customers to understand product specifications, technical needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across sales, marketing, supply chain and product development.
  • Represent the business at trade events, customer functions and industry forums.
  • Manage pricing, margin and overall commercial performance in line with business targets.
  • Keep account plans, forecasts and reporting accurate and up to date.

About you

You bring experience in key account management or business development, ideally from construction, building materials, glazing or fabrication environments. You are confident building relationships, negotiating and influencing stakeholders, and you combine commercial thinking with a strategic, growth-oriented and solutions-focused approach.

You should also have technical curiosity and the ability to interpret specifications and manufacturing processes. Strong planning, organisation and time management skills are important, along with the ability to work independently while still contributing effectively within a wider team. Experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office is required, and travel is part of this role. A valid New Zealand driver licence is also essential.

Benefits and perks

  • Fully maintained company car, on-site parking and a supportive team culture.
  • STI bonus scheme, KiwiSaver contributions and an annual salary review.
  • A workplace that is mindful of its environmental impact and how it operates.
  • 26 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers and 4 weeks for secondary carers.
  • Annual performance-based bonus for eligible employees.
  • Employee Assistance Program support for you and your immediate family.
  • Employee recognition programmes and service awards.
  • Career growth opportunities locally and overseas.
  • Access to mentoring programmes.
  • Opportunity to contribute through the DEI council.
  • A safe workplace with a strong focus on zero harm.
