Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is with a large asset management firm overseeing more than $10 billion in assets. The team is known for combining macroeconomic perspective, quantitative methods, and bottom-up fundamental research to uncover attractive long-term investments across markets.
The business is hiring Global Equity Analysts covering TMT, cyclical names, and generalist mandates to join its London investment team. The focus is on identifying ideas with a multi-year horizon and contributing directly to portfolio decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Perform in-depth fundamental analysis on public equities across multiple sectors and regions.
- Source and develop high-conviction investment ideas designed for 3-4 year holding periods.
- Create clear thematic research views that capture durable structural changes in markets.
- Construct, refine, and maintain financial models and valuation tools.
- Track existing portfolio positions and deliver regular research and thesis updates.
- Work closely with portfolio managers and macro strategists so company-level research fits broader market views.
- Communicate recommendations effectively to investment committees and other decision-makers.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant has 4-12 years of experience in equity research, whether on the buy side or sell side. A demonstrated history of successful long-term stock picking is important, along with a strong appetite for thematic investing such as structural growth, disruption, and global transition trends.
You should be highly comfortable with financial modelling, able to think independently, and willing to challenge consensus opinions when the research supports it. Strong presentation and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work across sectors with a global perspective.
Additional information
The role is based in London, England, United Kingdom and is a full-time onsite position.
