Role Overview
This is a permanent full-time position based in Brisbane City offering flexible working arrangements within a well-established industrial services company that has a significant presence throughout Australia. The business is experiencing national growth and expanding its commercial finance team, presenting a valuable opportunity for a Junior Management Accountant to develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end financial reporting, preparation of management accounts, and assist with budgeting and forecasting tasks.
- Prepare detailed financial analyses, variance reports, and deliver commercial insights to help enhance business performance.
- Develop financial models and aid in business case and project-related financial analyses.
- Collaborate closely with operational stakeholders to assist in decision-making processes and improve commercial outcomes.
- Contribute proactively to continuous enhancement of finance systems, reporting processes, and overall business performance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a positive mindset, strong work ethic, and a genuine ambition to build a career in commercial finance. While technical skills are essential, enthusiasm to learn, accountability, and active involvement are equally valued.
- A degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
- Commencement of CA or CPA qualifications, or an intention to begin.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience in commercial finance or public accounting practice.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP systems.
- Strong communication abilities with confidence engaging stakeholders across different business areas.
- Experience in industrial, mining, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based sectors is highly advantageous.
