Job description

About the Company

LawY is building an AI workspace designed specifically for legal professionals, with the goal of helping them save time and achieve better results for clients and stakeholders. Created by lawyers and refined over two years of customer feedback, the product now operates as a standalone subscription and has expanded beyond legal research into drafting, contract intelligence, and matter analysis.

This role sits at an exciting stage of growth. The product has already found strong market fit, users are enthusiastic about it, and the business is now scaling a solution that legal teams genuinely want to adopt. It is a chance to contribute to meaningful work in a fast-moving environment.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this position splits time between design and broader marketing work, with roughly 60% focused on creative production and 40% on hands-on marketing support. The role is high-volume and fast paced, with digital-first assets that help generate leads, showcase the product, and reach large lawyer audiences. You will work closely with experienced creatives and performance marketers who will provide support, training, and room to grow into a commercially aware designer.

What You Will Do

  • Create a steady flow of digital creative for ads, social posts, landing pages, ebooks, email campaigns, and product mock-ups, with optional room for light motion design.
  • Support campaign launches, testing, and ongoing improvements by monitoring results and adapting creative based on performance data.
  • Manage branded merchandise from start to finish, including designing items, organising storage, and coordinating distribution for events and customer activities.
  • Assist with in-person work such as packing and shipping items, setting up event booths, and helping at verifier nights and other live events.
  • Produce supporting print and physical materials such as banners, flyers, and digital business cards.
  • Contribute ideas during campaign and creative brainstorming sessions with the marketing and creative team.
  • Handle marketing operations tasks including scheduling social posts, sending email campaigns, and updating website pages.
  • Maintain consistency across brand assets, templates, and design guidelines while keeping the library organised and current.
  • Take ownership of smaller projects from start to finish and gradually expand into larger responsibilities.

What You Need

  • A portfolio that demonstrates your design thinking, range, and completed work is essential.
  • Some formal design education is preferred, such as a degree in visual or graphic design, a Billy Blue certificate, or evidence of strong self-taught ability through your portfolio.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of relevant experience, including internships, freelance work, or junior design roles; recent graduates with strong work are also welcome.
  • Practical experience with Adobe Creative Suite, with Figma considered an advantage.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely in English, plus a basic understanding of marketing copy.
  • Exposure to HubSpot or a similar platform is a bonus, along with an interest in how AI is changing creative work.

Who Will Thrive Here

  • Someone who sees themselves first and foremost as a designer, but is also curious about marketing, performance, and AI.
  • A person who treats underperforming creative as useful feedback and iterates quickly.
  • Someone comfortable switching between large and small tasks, from a standout ad to packing merchandise.
  • A team player who brings energy to brainstorming sessions, events, and day-to-day collaboration.
  • An adaptable professional who welcomes feedback and can stay productive in a fast-moving test-and-learn environment.

Why Join

  • Your work will directly support local law firms and the communities they serve.
  • You will have trust and autonomy, with the chance to work on meaningful and complex projects.
  • You will join an authentic, passionate team with genuine startup momentum and strong backing from a major legal software group.
  • Flexible and hybrid working is part of the culture.
  • The business offers learning and career growth opportunities for people who want to develop as the company scales.
  • There are social activities, celebrations, sports teams, and access to sailing and yacht events.
  • Additional time off, a gym membership, and other wellbeing benefits are included.
  • The company operates in a fast-paced tech environment with a strong focus on innovation.
  • Employees may also access a program that supports purchasing a primary residence.

Additional Information

The company is inclusive and people-first, with a focus on removing barriers that limit potential. Applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement.
