Job description

About the Role

Huel is seeking a motivated Junior Creative Strategist to spearhead creative strategy for the US market, a critical component of our global expansion. This position is ideal for an individual at the beginning of their creative strategy career who possesses a strong intuition for engaging social media content, excels at crafting inspiring briefs, and is eager for rapid growth within a high-performance team. While extensive prior experience is not mandatory, a demonstrated readiness to learn and contribute is essential.

The role involves executing the US creative strategy, conceptualizing new ideas, developing compelling hooks and angles, and establishing a weekly testing roadmap. You will manage the entire brief-to-analysis cycle to boost new customer acquisition through paid social channels. A hands-on approach is expected, including creating content such as scripting and filming user-generated content (UGC)-style ads, designing social assets using tools like Canva, and editing raw footage. Comfort with being on camera is a plus. You will also manage creator outreach and relationships in both the UK and US, serving as the primary liaison for performance content creators. Collaboration with US agency partners is key, involving the contribution of fresh concepts, identifying successful strategies to amplify, and supporting the development of briefs to maintain creative momentum. You will translate the US creative strategy into clear, inspiring briefs for the internal team, acting as the crucial link between global creative vision and local implementation. Performance tracking and analysis across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, focusing on metrics like CPA, CTR, CVR, and CPMs, will inform iterative testing and strategy refinement. Staying abreast of US consumer trends, competitor creative, and platform updates is vital for sharing insights and driving action.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates with a foundational understanding of creative strategy, recognizing its importance in connecting audience insights with performance outcomes. Exceptional brief writing skills are a non-negotiable requirement, enabling the creation of clear, insightful, and actionable briefs for creative teams. Proficiency in copywriting, including crafting attention-grabbing hooks, concise scripts, and engaging headlines tailored for social media, is necessary. A strong grasp of current social media trends across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, along with a well-informed perspective on content performance, is expected. Familiarity with creative performance metrics such as CTR, hook rate, and CPA, coupled with a curiosity for data-driven creative decision-making, is important. The ability to organize and manage multiple briefs and markets concurrently without tasks falling through the cracks is crucial. Candidates should be comfortable with content creation, including scriptwriting, using tools like Canva, and ideally, have experience shooting or appearing in short-form video content. Prior UGC experience is advantageous but not essential.

Perks and Benefits

Huel offers a comprehensive rewards package designed to support employee well-being and professional development. This includes a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Employees receive 30 paid vacation days in addition to federal holidays. Benefits include free Huel products, a remote work allowance for two weeks annually, a 401K plan, commuter benefits, paid volunteering days, enhanced family leave, and a dog-friendly office environment. A monthly gym membership contribution, a personalized nutrition plan, and free 1-on-1 therapy sessions through BetterHelp are also provided. Comprehensive private medical and health insurance, including free life insurance, is available.
