This position sits within the AutoSync team, which works with more than 3,500 dealerships across the country. The team builds modern software tools that make dealership operations easier, strengthen marketing efforts, and support sales growth.

Role Overview

The organization is looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Junior Business Analyst in a regular full-time capacity. The successful candidate will contribute to the improvement of data systems and business processes while helping the team turn information into practical operational insights.

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Assist with gathering, cleaning, and checking data for accuracy.
• Study datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Build dashboards and reports with tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or Tableau.

Process Improvement

• Map existing workflows and help identify where processes are inefficient.
• Support the development of better future-state workflows.
• Contribute ideas that improve operations, reduce expenses, and create a better customer experience.

Data Accuracy and Automation

• Maintain high data quality and ensure records remain accurate.
• Develop Python scripts to automate recurring tasks.
• Help create data pipelines using web scraping methods.
• Work with large datasets to generate analytical insights.
• Partner with other teams to build solutions that simplify and streamline work.

Requirements Gathering and Documentation

• Help collect and document business needs from stakeholders.
• Take part in workshops, interviews, and meetings to understand day-to-day operational requirements.
• Assist in preparing requirement documents, user stories, and process maps.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms.
• Exposure to process modeling approaches such as BPMN and flowcharts.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum principles is considered an asset.
• Some experience with requirements documentation and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of Python and relevant Python libraries.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented software design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Clear communication and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfort working with cross-functional teams.
• Curiosity and a willingness to keep learning.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, IT, Data Science, or a related area is required. Internships or academic coursework in business analysis, operations, or data analytics are considered an advantage.

Compensation

The base salary for this role is CAD 54,000 to CAD 58,000 per year. Final compensation may differ and can be higher depending on relevant skills, experience, location, and market conditions. The total rewards package may also include benefits, bonus pay, and other employee offerings.
