About Pallas Group

Pallas Group operates two ambitious brands, Pallas Capital and Fortis, driven by a passion for excellence in funds management and property. Pallas Capital is a specialist debt and equity fund manager focused on Australian and New Zealand Commercial Real Estate, addressing the market's need for reputable, risk-averse, non-bank lenders in the mid-range property sector. Fortis, our property development management arm, boasts a substantial portfolio of completed and upcoming residential and commercial projects.

About the Role

Pallas Capital is expanding and seeking a commercially astute and analytically skilled Investment Analyst to join the Structured Finance & Investment team in Sydney. This position is crucial for supporting the structuring, execution, and ongoing management of securitisation and warehouse funding transactions within Pallas Capital's lending platform. The role offers exposure to capital markets, funding partners, and portfolio performance. This is an onsite position, requiring the successful candidate to work from the office five days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the structuring and execution of private securitisation and warehouse funding transactions with both domestic and international financiers.
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models for securitisation transactions, real estate credit assessments, and Net Interest Margin (NIM) optimization.
  • Manage warehouse funding facilities, including analysis of liquidity, utilization, and capacity.
  • Contribute to financial risk management, including foreign exchange exposure and hedging strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive analysis and reports for financiers, investors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation of transaction documentation, such as due diligence materials, marketing collateral, and data rooms.
  • Support investor and financier engagement by addressing queries related to transactions and due diligence.
  • Provide timely, data-driven insights into portfolio performance to aid funding decisions and meet senior management requirements.
  • Conduct regular Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including maintaining the corporate financial model.

About You

  • Possess 1-3 years of experience in securitisation, structured finance, debt advisory, or a closely related field.
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or a similar discipline; a CFA or postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of securitisation structures, funding markets, and real estate credit principles.
  • Have prior exposure to financial risk management, including liquidity or balance sheet management.
  • Be capable of interpreting legal documentation, such as facility agreements and transaction structures.
  • Show proven experience in supporting securitisation or warehouse funding transactions.
  • Possess well-developed communication and organizational skills, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
