Job description

About the business

Pallas Group operates a set of ambitious, purpose-led brands across funds management and property, with a strong focus on excellence. Built to address the shortage of credit in the mid-market property space, Pallas is a global manager of real estate debt and equity funds, financing commercial property transactions across Australia and New Zealand. Since launching, the business has earned a reputation as a disciplined and risk-conscious non-bank lender, with more than AUD 10 billion deployed in real estate debt and an expanding presence among global investors.

As part of its continued expansion, Pallas Group has introduced Funding Partner, a new subsidiary that combines Pallas’ capital-raising capability and credit expertise to deliver efficient, low-cost real estate debt funding solutions for Mortgage Managers. This independent funding platform gives mortgage managers and originators access to institutional-quality credit support quickly and smoothly, helping them deploy capital with confidence and consistency.

About the role

Pallas Group is hiring a Credit Analyst to join the Sydney office. In this role, you will work alongside senior credit leaders, the origination team and other stakeholders to help assess and execute residential and commercial real estate lending opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess residential and commercial property lending opportunities against Funding Partner’s risk appetite.
  • Identify credit risks and the factors that reduce them, using credit policy, core lending principles and current market conditions as reference points.
  • Review borrower financial statements, property valuations, feasibility analyses and quantity surveyor reports.
  • Draft well-structured credit papers and analysis packs for the Senior Credit Manager and Investment Committee.
  • Contribute to the preparation of indicative term sheets.
  • Work with the Origination and Credit teams to support the full assessment process for lending opportunities.
  • Assist with due diligence and loan documentation in coordination with the internal legal team.
  • Support research, market review work and the creation of investor memorandums and thematic insights.
  • Help improve underwriting processes, templates and tools on an ongoing basis.

About you

You are likely to have tertiary study in Finance, Commerce, Property Economics, Accounting or a similar field, along with around 3+ years of experience in private credit, real estate investment banking or property development. You understand real estate finance structures across major asset classes and can interpret valuation reports, feasibility studies and broader market conditions with confidence.

You bring strong numerical and analytical ability, advanced Excel skills and practical experience building and reviewing financial models. You use sound commercial judgement, keep investor and stakeholder outcomes in focus, and communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats. You are detail-oriented, commercially aware and comfortable managing several transactions in a fast-moving environment. You are also collaborative, proactive and keen to keep learning within a growing credit platform.

Why join Pallas Group

The business is entrepreneurial, still relatively young and growing quickly, making this an exciting time to join. High performers are encouraged to contribute meaningfully to the results of the group, and the role is well suited to someone with energy, ambition and strong technical skills.

This is an opportunity to make a real impact and demonstrate your capability. Pallas Group aims to be a great place to work, with a supportive, collaborative environment where people are trusted to own their work, contribute to the business and develop their careers as the company continues to expand.

Application process

Applicants are asked to submit a full CV. Due to the number of applications expected, only candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted.
