Job Overview

The Inventory Manager at AD Ports Group is responsible for developing and executing inventory management strategies, policies, and procedures to standardize and optimize inventory operations across the organization, with a focus on the Maritime & Shipping Cluster. This role involves forecasting budgets, mitigating inventory risks, and ensuring alignment between physical stock and financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage AD Ports Group’s inventory to guarantee material and spare part availability for the Maritime & Shipping Cluster.
  • Coordinate procurement and inventory management activities, ensuring materials support operational and maintenance needs efficiently.
  • Optimize costs related to inventory investment while maintaining operational effectiveness at the ports.
  • Plan material requirements aligned with a five-year maintenance strategy, collaborating with end-users and purchasing teams.
  • Perform aging analysis to identify obsolete or surplus stock and recommend appropriate actions including reuse or disposal.
  • Implement economical stocking and procurement strategies and approve related inventory and purchasing transactions.
  • Conduct physical audits of inventory sites to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Analyze stock cover and participate in discussions on price agreements and purchase orders.
  • Support procurement teams in resolving technical and material specification issues.
  • Manage and guide the inventory management team to meet departmental goals cost-effectively with timely reporting.
  • Oversee logistics processes for material movement, storage, and distribution ensuring compliance with regulations and optimization of workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely inventory delivery and documentation alignment with ERP and Enterprise Asset Management systems.
  • Design organizational structure and manpower budgeting for the inventory management department, set staff KPIs and conduct performance evaluations and training planning.
  • Develop and maintain systems, policies, and processes to ensure best practices in inventory management aligned with AD Ports Group strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with AD Ports Group Integrated Management System (IMS) regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in inventory and supply chain management.
  • Proven understanding of inventory management software, forecasting methodologies, and purchasing processes.
  • Experience with ISO standards and maintaining compliance.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
